Day 67
While I would have loved to get a closer shot of the flock of birds, I had a 10mm-22mm lens on thinking the birds were going to fly past me. Unfortunately, they must have not liked my scent because they decided to go the other way (Personal note: You can't make nature do what you want). I was following the large flocks progression from one group of trees to the next, so it seemed as if they were going to fly overhead. One cool thing I witnessed about the flock is that they were all chirping in the trees, but suddenly for about 10 seconds the whole flock fell silent, and then took flight (in the opposite direction); never noticed that before. I guess the birds not flying over my head was a blessing in disguise...it might have gotten messy as I would have been one easy target.

I like the dark shadows at the bottom. It almost looks like bats.
