Day 68
Just as important as taking an awesome picture, is taking care of your tools to capture that picture. Today, I was ready to shoot another image for the blog. Unfortunately, after a few test exposures, I noticed several dust spots on the images displayed on the LCD. Initially, I used an air blower to shake most of the dust loose, but there still were a few stubborn dust particles that wanted to hang out on the sensor. I drove to a local camera shop and picked up a 12pack of Sensor Swabs to further clean the sensor. The swabs were easy to use and worked great. Day 68 is a reminder to keep your gear clean. A little sensor maintenance will keep you from spending extra time in post production removing spots from your favorite shot.
Enjoy.
