Tonight I wanted to capture some lighting strikes, but without a tripod and 20 minutes from the house so it wasn't happening. Once home, I grabbed the tripod and went to a nearby field, setup the camera on bulb, f8.0, and connected the shutter release. After a little testing on exposure time and camera positioning, I exposed the image above. I can't wait to get back out at night again, maybe before the strikes pass.
