D205 - The Boxer

On the streets of Chi-town you never know who you are going to run into. This boxer [and owner] came strolling by and I had to photograph the pup. I am kind of kicking myself for mot getting their names. Anyhow, the owner had the best response to me inquiring to photograph her pet, 'sure, can you whistle? I can't whistle so I always ask if people can whistle.' You cannot beat the look on her pups face. Fun times in Chicago!

D172 - Priorities

So the blog went silent for a few days, between looking for a WI-FI signal everywhere we went to have a few issues with the laptop it was getting harder to edit the images and post them. But ultimately, the focus was on helping the team complete the race so the blog had to take a back seat. Now that I'm home with a day to recover I can post the images, since it's not as if I didn't take pictures everyday. Back to June 20th, we were in Kansas, that was a tough portion of the course. In addition to being over 110 degrees outside there were some vicious cross winds coming in over 30 miles per hour. With the flat lands the riders had a hard time keeping the bikes from being pushed out onto the road from the shoulder. They made it through in good time, but no one wants to do that portion again. A few crew members and myself were sent to make a laundry run in the morning. We came across a small laundry mat that was retro fitted into an old service station in Eureka, Kansas. The owner was very nice and had a small dog that begged for attention, so of course she received a photo. More to come in the following days.

Enjoy Eureka!

D116 - Diamond time

So have you ever been to the jewelry store and seen those big Jewels in the display case next to the actual jewelry? Well Sara has had her eye on a big 'diamond' for months, and she finally got it a month back. She said it cost 'a lot of money'. Surprisingly, she enjoys looking through the diamond rather than looking at it. The reason being is that when she looks at Cleo, the dog that snores awake, about 8 Cleo's show up. Sara thinks it's the funniest thing ever Yay for jewels that make you smile.

Enjoy.

D49 - Walking the Dog

The good thing about having GBB in town for the week is I am allocating chores to the paper boy. I was lucky Cleo didn't try to eat, pee on, of go #2 on GBB, but she is giving on heck of a look.

Enjoy. GBB walking the dog

Meet Cleo

This is Sara's newest Best friend Cleo, a 3 year old pug that became a part of our family last weekend. The first week has been full of learning, surprises, and laughter as we become accustom to being pet owners. Cleo is starting to get used to us as we are to her. Sara loves running around with her and giving her treats. One interesting fact that I learned is that you will never be at a loss for pet accessories. Wow, from clothes, to costumes, to toys, to food, there is an endless supply of 'things' out there. I'm sure we will be investing in more this coming up weekend.   *As funny as it might sounds, a toothbrush will be the next purchase. While Cleo might only be 3 years old, her breath is full grown!

Well here is Cleo at her best, looking to get into something.

Enjoy.
