D202 - Long Look

Technically on assignment today. We have a photography forum group at the job and they are having assignments with this weeks theme: at the park. Of course by the time I get home there isn't much light left, so we do long exposures. With the movement of the clouds and the moon (think the camera might have shifted a little for most of that trail) a long explosure can end up looking very dramatic. Off to run.

Enjoy.

D162 - Happy & Gorgeous

I attended my little sister's wedding today, and if you don't know she is my Ace! Prior to her moving out of state some years back, we hung out all the time. From skydiving, carnivals, shopping, to just watching movies, I doubt we went 2 days without talking or seeing each other. Currently, as I said, she lives out of state so we don't talk as much, nor do we see each other as often as we'd like or should. But that does not change the fact that I am incredibly proud of her for all that she has accomplished and was able to overcome throughout her life. Today, I am especially proud as she starts a new life chapter marrying her best friend Jeff at a beautiful ceremony in the park. The wedding was simple yet elegant at the same time. The Pastor did not speak for an abundance of time but we all held onto every word as if it was the first ones heard in years. And being surrounded with close family and friends made the celebration that much more meaningful.

It was a day you'd wished never ended, and the start of Jeff and my sister forever after.
Congratulations you two, love you both!

Yes, my sis is Gorgeous.

D120 - Jungle

Taking a break plan a lot of research and planning for a trip to the jungle, as Sara calls it. Really it's just a trail in Kent, but I'm not going to bust her bubble. In the jungle we picked flowers, walked the jungle, jerked back as little flying bugs constantly flew in our face, smacked mosquito off our arms, and climbed up and down countless stairs, it was a blast. In the process we came across some blue flowers, perfect for the photo of the day.

Enjoy

And one extra.

D70 - Blue Skies

It was awesome yet cold day. While Sara and I were out, we stopped by a small park for a walk. Since Sara wanted to look for "snake foot prints" (yeah I have to think about it too), I moved back to capture the image below. I like how it looks as if she and the tree have the same shape. It was really cold out, don't let the sun fool you.

Enjoy.

FYI there were no Snake Foot Prints found, but we still ran a quarter of the way just in case.

Engaged: Patty & Frank!

Meet Patty & Frank, one of their engagement moments was Day 363 on the blog. For the engagement Reconnection Session, we met in the Valley and had an amazing time with them. We started out on train tracks and then ended up further in the park at a tunnel. If you know me, you know I like to be playful to loosen up the mood to start. So I asked Frank to stand at the top of the tunnel, near the train tracks, and told him jokingly "Don't worry, none of our couples have ever been hit by a train." Three minutes later, we hear a train horn in the distance. After Frank comes back down the path, Perla and I captured a great moment of Patty & Frank watching the train pass by. Fun times.

Thanks Patty & Frank for taking time out of your busy schedules and wedding planning to reconnect and let us capture the moments that resulted from it. We cannot wait to capture all the beauty and love of your wedding in October.

Enjoy:
