365 Project - Day 26

Day 26

You've got to use what you have at the time! I am now in the habit of carrying my camera with me everywhere I go, but I choose to bring one lens, my 24-70L f2.8. The reason is that it gives me the most flexibility as a "walk-around" lens, that way I'm not carrying 3+ lens and trying to switch them out every time I get into a different situation. In addition, it forces me to find creative ways to capture shots not necessarily intended to be taken with the lens I'm using. The shot above of the crow flying by, with a 70-200mm. I could have captured the bird a lot closer and possibly got some facial details, but I would not have had all the negative space to the left of the bird, which -I think- adds to the interest of the overall image. Also, having more lenses means that depending on the situation I might be compelled to switch lenses and possibly miss the shot.

In post-production I added a texture to the image and used the multiple blending tool to blend the texture with the image.

Enjoy.

Brian
